Formula 1 among HID lamps

Xenon high intensity discharge lamps are used as a stable light source in movie projectors or as a light source in diverse exterior applications.
Xenon lamp discharges light between two electrodes made of Tungsten that are surrounded by Xenon gas under high pressure. Xenon lamps use Direct Current (up to 160A) and relatively small voltage (19-41V), and that is why Xenon lamps can achieve such high light output and other characteristics such as constant color temperature (GCRI) along entire lifetime of the lamp.

Safety

Due to high amount of harmful UV rays, high internal pressure and high intensity of light, Xenon lamps must be operated only in enclosed, approved lamps houses. While handling Xenon lamp always use safety aids such as goggles and gloves.
